“Edwin Land”

A close perspective black and white photo of a man wearing a suit and tie looking thoughtfully at the viewer, a vintage polaroid camera in his hands.

Connecting the past

A poster of colorful grid squares in iconic Polaroid colors, red, orange, yellow, green, and blue. The squares mask a black and white photo of Edwin Land aiming a vintage Polaroid camera at the viewer. The black background is contrasted heavily with a bright white Polaroid text logo, turned 90º to the right.
A storefront that has bright blue, green, yellow, orange, and red horizontal stripes from sidewalk to over the door on the outside of the building. The Polaroid text logo appears over the door with a sign out front on the sidewalk.

to the present.

Featured in the SNHU Humanities Lab Showcase. A project for a Fundamentals of Design course, commemorating Edwin Land, creator of the Polaroid camera. The poster was made in Adobe Photoshop, using a mosaic mask of a photograph in classic Polaroid colors. The composition honors both the vintage photo of Land while overlaying modern styling — a testament to the timelessness of the brand.
