“Raymond Loewy”

A black and white photograph of Loewy's streamlined locomotive design. A large rounded train comes into closer perspective from the left side of the image.

Innovation meets

A poster of a black, streamlined rounded locomotive illustration with a red circle and orange border behind it. The main color of the background is blueprint color blue. Cream colored lines and arrows evoke the blueprint feel of the poster. The word Loewy appears in 1920 - 1930's looking test above the locomotive at the top of the circle.
A vertical display palette of dark blue, dark purple, red, cream, tan, and light orange.

Featured in the SNHU Humanities Lab Showcase. Created in both Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop. This piece is an homage to American industrial designer, Raymond Loewy, honoring his revolutionary streamlined locomotive design. The high-contrasting red and orange circle creates a frame against the blueprint-like background, thoughtfully highlighting the illustration of the black locomotive.
